What is Lab Online Booking, and what can I do here?

Lab Online Booking is a free, self-service website for booking outpatient laboratory appointments at participating British Columbia health authority labs. Here you can find a lab, book an appointment for yourself or a family member, and reschedule or cancel it online, 24 hours a day. There is no phone line: everything is done by you on this website, or by asking the chat assistant.

What can Lab Online Booking not do?

Lab Online Booking is a scheduling service only. It is not the laboratory, and it is not LifeLabs or a private lab company. Your test results aren't shown or stored here; they go to the doctor who ordered your tests, or to BC Health Gateway. It does not issue requisitions and cannot receive one by email or upload: bring your requisition to the lab, or have your clinic fax it to the lab. Medical imaging such as X-rays, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound and mammograms isn't a service Lab Online Booking provides or books, so contact your health authority or your doctor's office for imaging. It cannot answer medical questions, and it does not hold lab fax numbers; ask the lab or your clinic for those.

How do I reach a person?

For help with this website or your account, email support@labonlinebooking.ca. That address is for technical help with the Lab Online Booking website and your account; it does not book, reschedule or cancel appointments, and it cannot answer medical questions. For a question about a specific lab or an appointment there, contact that lab directly: the Contact Us page lists each lab's phone number, and the chat assistant can give it to you if you name the lab. For anything medical, contact the doctor who ordered your tests.
